WPS Health Insurance Eliminates 39 Wisconsin Jobs

Wisconsin’s WPS Health Insurance will eliminate 13 jobs at its Wausau office, and 26 jobs at its Milwaukee office, on July 3rd. So, happy Independence Day.

Medical management staff are targeted. The firm will continue to employ 400 in Wausau, and 4,000 statewide.

Founded by the Wisconsin Medical Society in 1946, Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation is a non-profit service insurance corporation based in Madison. WPS offers commercial health insurance products in the state of Wisconsin and provides insurance claims processing services under various US Government contracts. In addition, WPS has subsidiary corporations in life insurance, temporary staffing and technology consulting.
