Yahoo! in Talks With New York State, May Build Data Center

Search engine firm Yahoo! is in talks with New York State officials over plans to build a data center in the state, creating up to 100 jobs.

Democratic US Senator Charles Schumer has been involved in the discussion, and says the chances of the proposal moving forward are “very, very good.”

Yahoo! is a public corporation headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, that provides Internet services worldwide. The company is best known for its web portal, search engine, Yahoo! Directory, Yahoo! Mail, news, and social media websites and services. Yahoo! was founded by Jerry Yang and David Filo in January 1994, and was incorporated in 1995.
