There’s slow but steady growth in terms of automakers in Japan. However, electronics gadgets such as smartphones are no longer seemingly quite as appealing to major electronics companies. The primary reason is, the phones just aren’t selling like they used to. Apple has scaled down its production for their iPhone 5, and other manufacturers are following. Japan’s electronics industry is world renowned for their technological aptitude and development of flashy new gadgets, but that’s not enough for these companies. Unfortunately for many, the auto industry is difficult to get into, and many new electronics companies in the market are going to struggle to get noticed. It can take approximately ten years before a company that’s new to the automotive electronics industry is able to really become powerful. Therefore, the companies that are faring best are the ones that have been around working in that field for the longest, such as TDK and Murata. Electronics components are a vital part of everyday life, and that’s why they’re so keen on sticking with huge, necessary industries.
