Layoffs to hit Richmond Co. HR Department By EmploymentCrossing  |  Dated: 01-05-2013

In Richmond County seven people will be laid off from the County’s Human Resources Department. Those who are layed off will be given 60 days notice on Thursday, and will be eligible to apply to new jobs in the department. The layoffs are due to a deal that was approved by commissioners in September. The deal is aimed at cutting the HR Department, and to better address the needs of the Department. Several new jobs will be created in the Department as a result of the deal, but these jobs will all have different titles.
