Headwaters to Cut Jobs in Alabama

Headwaters will cut an unspecified number of jobs at its Alabama coal cleaning facilities.

The South Jordan, Utah-based materials and services provider also will combine its coal cleaning and coal combustion products businesses, in an effort to improve sales.

Headwaters estimates it will save between $8 million and $10 million by merging the operations, which will be operated under the name Headwaters Resources.
