First Solar to Create 600 New Jobs

First Solar, which manufactures photovoltaic thin film solar module, will expand its operations in Perrysburg Township, Ohio, creating 587 new jobs.The Township will get a $200,000 roadwork development grant in support of the planned expansion.
First Solar hopes to gain new machinery and expand its existing facility by 275,000 square feet. The company was formed in 1992 and has global workforce of more than 2,000 employees. The company also has facilities in Germany and Malaysia.
The company says completion of the roadwork project will better accommodate increased truck and employee traffic.
