Employment News
Aerospace and defense contractor Alliant Techsystems is cutting 300 jobs from its Utah facilities.
The cuts are to be made by the end of March, and will include layoffs, retirements and attrition.
The company will try to transfer some employees to other locations to reduce the number of cuts.
The cuts were announced internally to employees last week.
Alliant has about 5,000 employees in Utah at facilities in Promontory, Magna and Clearfield.
Alliant Techsystems is one of the largest aerospace and defense companies in America, with approximately 17,000 employees and operations in 21 states. The company headquarters is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis.
