The huge number of jobs created in Texas has led to the term “Texas miracle”. But according to some observers, that record is nothing to be proud of. The reason: most of the jobs created in the last three years were minimum wage jobs. Texas, along with Mississippi, leads the country in the percentage of state residents working in a minimum wage job. But there is also data that says that the state did create a good number of relatively well paying jobs. It is also undeniable that Texas kept adding huge numbers of jobs in the last three years while most of the country kept losing jobs.
