Layoff News
In Minneapolis ten firefighting workers has received a call from chief of Fire and informed them to lost their jobs due to cut off the state budget. Mayor R.T. Rybak and City Council President Barbara Johnson has kept more fire fighters to avoid police layoff. Mayor and Barbara blamed the legislature and irritated fire union blamed Mr.Rybak. But there is no any surprise in lay off happens, actually it was 32 firefighters instead of 10 workers in this year . Mayor and Council place more fund to keep them on pay roll. The Police department anticipate that the budget will be in control by the end of year due to retirements. But some firefighters decided to retire because of poor economy and uncertainty about a fire pension.
