Veterinary Technician - Diagnostic Imaging

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Radiology and Imaging team.

About the Job: As a Vet Tech in the radiology departments you will be responsible for:
Partnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Perform anesthetic monitoring including
of patients, monitoring vitals, and troubleshooting of machines
Obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing
Accurately take and process multiple types of radiographs
Schedule ultrasounds (in-house and outpatient), submit studies to be reviewed, assist with ultrasound-guided aspirates and biopsies
Oversee outpatient and inpatient radiology and imaging schedules, coordinate with other departments, staff and radiologists
Possess effective communication with clients, radiologists, and specialists
Will participate in the on-call rotation and will help patient care when the imaging department is having a slow time.
Practicing proper radiation safety
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary
in an animal hospital setting required. Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered.
Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is preferred.
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required
RVT or VTS preferred but not required.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.
Ability to lift over 40 lbs.
Schedule - Full Time 4, 10 hour shifts
