The VCA Animal Hospital Contracts Coordinator acts as a liaison to more than 800 veterinary hospitals in the United States to assist with the national strategic partner relationships that provide services and equipment to VCA Animal Hospitals. You will be responsible for reviewing service agreements and contracts as they relate to the major equipment (i.e. ultrasound machines, in-house lab machines, etc.), as well as communicating to the hospitals about contract changes or updates.
The Purchasing group in the VCA Support Office serves as a resource and support for VCA’s 800 locations throughout the US on purchasing needs for medical supplies.
Assist with contract and service agreement review and implementation for the national accounts/agreements put in place with preferred national partners for both new contracts and contract renewals.
Work with preferred partners to ensure that both parties honor and abide by the terms and conditions of the national agreement(s) signed into place.
Provide exceptional customer service to VCA Animal Hospitals when questions and/or issues arise related to service contracts. Serve as a liaison to the national partners to assist with settling/resolving issues that may arise between VCA Animal hospitals and preferred partners.
Communicate directly with the VCA Animal Hospitals regarding any and all contract changes or updates. Assist with communications to the hospitals regarding what approved and non-approved products (and equipment) are available for purchase.
Place orders for major in-house diagnostic laboratory equipment. May help with placing orders for other equipment, as necessary.
Responsible for all service agreement/contract renewals/cancelations, for diagnostic equipment with, but not limited to, nationally preferred partners.
Assist with the roll out of new services and products from new vendors to VCA Animal Hospitals.
Perform any and all related assignments as directed by VP of purchasing.
Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Experience working in the veterinary industry (previous experience as a Veterinary Technician and experience working in veterinary hospital a strong plus!).
Previous experience with reviewing contracts is required.
Experience in customer service and vendor relations.
Knowledge of veterinary medical equipment required.
Strong MS Office skills.
Strong communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, with other members of the VCA Purchasing Team & with Animal Hospitals, as well as collaborate with our vendors in an exciting and rewarding environment responding to the needs of the VCA community of animal hospitals across the country.
