Introduction Pennsylvania Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Associates at Hickory Veterinary Hospital is a well established AAHA Referral and Traditional accredited specialty hospital with over 75 years experience in caring for and treating companion pet’s. PVSEA is an independently owned emergency, specialty, primary care and referral center that serves over 7,000 companion animal patients annually with an active database of over 18,000 pets. Our referral cliental is continually expanding and we have served multiple generations of clients and their pets.   Location Located in historic Plymouth Meeting, PA we are just 20 minutes from Philadelphia. Easy access to Atlantic City’s beaches and nightlife, New York’s Broadway and eateries, and the Pocono raceway and skiing. Our own area provides a great Work and Life balance with outdoor activities and sports, a thriving art and cultural community, festivals, museums, shopping, and a culinary reputation surpassed by none. Facility and Diagnostics Our spacious 20,000 square foot medical complex is equipped with 3 surgical suites with a full complement of Minimally Invasive Surgical Equipment. There are 7 exam rooms all with natural light. Our spacious Treatment area has 4 wet tables and ICU Units with oxygen and temperature control. The Special Procedures room houses our Endoscopy, and Cystoscopy equipment. The Dental suite has 2 procedure wet tables and heated cages. Our advanced imaging department is comprised of a Digital Radiology suite located adjacent to surgery and treatment for easy access. There are 2 Ultrasound units and a CAT Scan (16 slice) as part of the diagnostic center on the lower level with elevator access. Our oncology group has a Chemotherapy station for treatments. Our staff also has access to state of the art MRI services.   Some additional equipment / tools on site are: Multi-parameter monitors (with IBP) Laparoscopy/ Thoracoscopy , Cystotomy equipment Arthroscopy equipment Synthes Bone plating, TPLO, TTA system Drill systems 2 Pediatric incubators Cardells Ventilator In-house laboratory and referral laboratories Nova Idexx Antech eVet Multiple cytology and pathology resources- case dependent Chemo hood 2 autoclave units Ethylene oxide sterilization   Our Team   Our reputation as an advanced care hospital is based on attracting talented individuals and providing a collaborative and supportive environment to express and expand that talent. Our dedicated Medical Director has over 30 years experience in providing a Work Healthy environment. Our team of over 20 doctors offers a broad range of medical services, including surgery, oncology, neurology, radiology, endoscopy, cardiology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation, general medicine, emergency and intensive care, along with our boarded diplomates in Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology and Cardiology. Our ER/ICU/CCU has 6 emergency doctors on staff to assist all departments. Our seasoned business personnel with over 10 years experience in Finance, Human Resources, Clinic Operations, Purchasing, IT Support assist in all facets to support the staff and our valued clients. There are also three referral coordinators that coordinate cases and feedback to primary care doctors 7 days a week Goal Our goal in advanced-care is to provide innovative and caring solutions across a broad spectrum of medical challenges, the results of which are longer, healthier lives for our patients. Our Need We are looking for full time Emergency & Primary Care doctors to join a collaborative team of doctors that go above and beyond in patient care . The perfect candidate for this position is someone that has completed a rotating medicine or emergency internship. This position will include a rotating schedule of day, evening and overnights. Besides a competitive compensation package we will offer a sign-on bonus of $5000.00 . The position has a rotating schedule with blocks of overnights, swing and days.
