Perform research, conduct interviews related to, and assessments of animal health systems or programs, including medical practice and diagnosis of dangerous infectious disease, veterinary infrastructure, human resources, and related laws and regulations, and write reports on the outcomes of research and assessments of disease surveillance programs and systems, including recommendations. Interface with client science, technical, and program management personnel and work collaboratively with a team of technical subject matters experts, including science, disease surveillance, biosafety and biosecurity, and project management specialists.\\rBasic Qualifications:-Experience with working in a veterinary medicine or public health environment-Knowledge of veterinary public health-Ability to work on a team-Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time-Ability to obtain a security clearance-PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine\\rAdditional Preferred Qualifications:-Experience with active surveillance in a veterinary medicine environment or active vector surveillance program, international work, or consulting-Knowledge of lead international animal organization missions and disease reporting requirements-Knowledge of the US Select Agent Program preferred-Ability to analyze complex subject matter-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-PhD degree in Epidemiology or a related field-PMP Certification\\rClearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Integrating a full range of consulting capabilities, Booz Allen is the one firm that helps clients solve their toughest problems by their side to help them achieve their missions.
